Fans did not get the pre-saved track

A pre-save is delivered only after you mark the release out. Here is how to do it and how to read what was sent.

A pre-save waits for you. Nothing goes to fans on the release date by itself. You mark the campaign released when your links are live, and then we deliver.

Mark the release out

Open the pre-save page in Smartlinks.
Click Release now. The Mark as released window opens.
Paste one link to the release. We find it on the other services and add the buttons to the page.
Click Release now.

Fans’ saves are delivered within the hour. Fans who chose an email reminder instead of a service get one email each.

When the release date passes and the campaign is still open, we email you a reminder at 09:00 UTC. The fans keep waiting until you click Release now.

Read the delivery panel

Delivered: the track is saved in these fans’ libraries.
Emailed: these fans chose an email reminder, or their service connection stopped working, so we emailed them instead.
Failed: the fan revoked our access or removed their account on the service. We cannot save the track for them.

The campaign says Expired or was cancelled

A campaign that is still open 30 days after its release date closes with the status Expired. Nothing was sent. The fans who signed up are kept.
A cancelled pre-save sends nothing on release day. The page stays online, and the fans who signed up are kept in your counts. You cannot undo a cancel.
An unpublished pre-save page still delivers to the fans who signed up. Nobody new can sign up while it is offline.

When do fans get a pre-saved track?

Within the hour after you mark the release out with Release now. It does not happen on the release date by itself.

Why did some pre-saves fail?

Those fans revoked access to their streaming account or removed it. Fans whose connection only stopped working get an email instead.

What happens if I forget to release a pre-save?

We remind you by email after the release date. If the campaign is still open 30 days after that date, it expires and nothing is sent.
