Connect Spotify for Artists, Deezer for Creators and YouTube
Connect an artist portal on the Catalog screen, and Music24 reads your own streams, listeners and saves every day.
An artist portal is the account a service gives you as an artist. Connect one, and Music24 reads your own numbers every day and shows them in Insights. You can connect Spotify for Artists, Deezer for Creators and YouTube.
Connect a portal
- Open Your intelligence → Catalog.
- Under Service connections, click Connect on the card of the service.
- Choose the sign-in option, for example Sign in with Deezer for Creators, and click Continue.
- Finish the sign-in. The steps per service are below.
- If the sign-in holds more than one artist, pick the one Music24 should read. Insights fills in within a few minutes.
Spotify for Artists: in the app only
Spotify allows this sign-in only inside the Music24 iPhone or Android app. You sign in on Spotify’s own pages, with any check Spotify asks for. Finish within 10 minutes, or start again.
On the web, Connect shows Connect Spotify for Artists on your phone with a QR code. Scan it with your phone camera, or click Email me the link. The app opens on Insights. Tap Connect there. Sign in to the app with the same email as on the web.
Deezer for Creators: email and password
Type the email and password of your Deezer for Creators account and click Sign in. We keep the sign-in encrypted so we can refresh your numbers every night. Disconnecting deletes it.
YouTube: Google sign-in
Sign in with the Google account that owns your channel, and allow every permission. Google sends you back to Catalog when you are done. On the Catalog screen this card is called YouTube Official Artist.
Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music and the distributors: early access
Apple Music for Artists, Amazon Music for Artists, Tidal Artist Home, Boomplay, SoundCloud and Audiomack have no sign-in yet. The Distributors section (DistroKid, TuneCore, CD Baby, Ditto Music and UnitedMasters) has none either. These cards show Early access. Click Join early access. You can type the email you use on that service, or leave the field empty and we use your Music24 email. We ask for nothing else, never your password. Click Join early access again. The window says You’re on the list, and the card shows On the list. We turn each service on account by account, and our team contacts you when yours is ready. Meanwhile you can claim releases and promote them as normal. To stop, click Leave the list on the card.
You can also click Add profile URL on a streaming card. We read your public releases from that page, and you claim your releases by hand. This does not put you on the list.
If the sign-in fails
- "You cancelled the sign-in, or you did not allow every permission. Try again and allow all of them."
- "The sign-in took too long. Try again."
- "This sign-in holds no channel. Sign in with the Google account that owns your channel." (YouTube)
- "Deezer did not accept that email and password." Check both and try again.
If it still fails, write to [email protected] with the service name and the message you see.
Questions
Why can I not connect Spotify for Artists in the browser?
Spotify allows this sign-in only inside the Music24 app. Scan the QR code on the web, or use Email me the link, and connect on your phone.
Do I need a portal to use Music24?
No. SmartLinks, pre-saves, Promote and the playlist data all work without one. A portal adds your own streams and listeners.
Does Music24 store my Deezer password?
Yes, encrypted, so we can read your numbers every night. Disconnect Deezer for Creators and we delete it.
